Introduction of new EC fan series:
EC-BOX, ROOF-CM EC, DIFFUSER EC, PLATE-M EC, DUCT-EC, RING-EC.
Dear customers,
I am pleased to introduce our new EC series, equipped with electronically commutated permanent magnet motors.
These are innovative products that—much like electric propulsion in the automotive industry—are set to gain increasing market prominence.
These new series share the following features:
- EXTREMELY HIGH EFFICIENCY, resulting from the high performance of our impellers but, above all, from the new-generation, electronically commutated, synchronous EC permanent magnet motors (IE4 efficiency class or higher).
- Precise rotational speed control, enabled by the intrinsic characteristics of the EC motor and the presence (essential for operation) of a single-phase or three-phase driver (supplied unwired); this allows performance to be modulated according to the system's varying needs without ever compromising efficiency.
- Very low power consumption, thanks to the energy-efficient quality of all components, ensuring full compliance with increasingly strict European Ecodesign regulations regarding product environmental impact.
Specifically:
1) EC-BOX: These are cased fans featuring backward-curved impellers directly coupled to an EC motor.
They are characterized by:
- Quiet operation, thanks to a plenum lined with sound-absorbing material.
- Versatility, allowing the airflow to be directed either along the same axis as the intake or perpendicular to it. - a range comprising 8 models with diameters from 350 to 630
2) ROOF – CM EC units: centrifugal roof fans featuring backward-curved impellers directly coupled to an EC motor
characterized by:
- exceptional airflow performance and efficiency, thanks to highly contoured inlet nozzles with minimal clearance between the nozzle and the rotating assembly, as well as next-generation impellers.
- a very wide range comprising 9 models with diameters from 310 to 630
3) DIFFUSER EC units: axial-flow destratifiers and mixers with EC motors
characterized by:
- the ability to improve environmental comfort in both industrial buildings and livestock barns—in summer and winter alike—by circulating air quietly and effectively
- superior performance compared to equivalent centrifugal mixing systems, resulting in a reduction in the number of fans required to perform the same function.
- the ability to reverse airflow direction (top-to-bottom or vice versa) depending on the season or specific requirements.
4) PLATE-EC, RING-EC, and DUCT-EC are three different series of axial fans directly coupled to EC motors.
They are characterized by:
- extensive ranges with impeller diameters from 310 to 800 mm;
- extreme operational flexibility compared to corresponding models equipped with asynchronous motors, offering the ability—by varying the rotational speed—to operate across a much wider performance range, both at the lower and upper ends of the scale.
